Partnerships
let’s work together
Walk Around Philadelphia partners with community organizations, cultural institutions, universities, agencies, faith communities, and mission-aligned groups to expand access to the Walk and deepen its connection to neighborhoods along the city’s edge.
Partnerships help us extend the invitation to people who might not otherwise encounter the Walk — while also supporting your work in community connection, learning, wellness, civic imagination, and place-based engagement.
What partnerships can look like
Here are just a few ways collaboration has already unfolded:
- Cherry Street Pier — hosting community events and exhibitions, providing storage and marketing support
- Riverfront North Partnership & Delaware River Waterfront Corporation — installing wayfinding signage along the Delaware River
- Penn Program in Environmental Humanities & Independence Seaport Museum — supporting our letterpress map printmaking project, with support from Common Press and The Soapbox Community Print Studio
- The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education — inviting us to curate a community exhibition
- Glen Foerd — welcoming walkers with coffee, donuts, hospitality, and send-off support
- State Rep Joe Hohenstein — organizing a walk around his district inspired by the project and regularly joining groups along the edge
- Circuit Trails Coalition — connecting the Walk to trail advocacy across the region
- SNF Paideia Program at Penn — hosting custom multi-day walk retreats for students, faculty, and staff
- Natural Creativity Center — helping make the Walk accessible to students as young as 11
Each collaboration is different — shaped by shared values, curiosity, and care for the communities we serve.
Let’s Explore What Might Be Possible
Whether your organization is rooted along the perimeter, working in education or arts and culture, focused on environment, equity, wellness, or civic life — we’d love to be in conversation.
