Hi Nancy – this is definitely a tricky one that could use some improvement.
The maps in this survey by the East Coast Greenway will give you some ideas of what might be possible and how future trails might be developed:

The city is also working on a new trail from the Heinz refuge to the Eastwick regional rail station, but that will be a bit.
Remember our guidelines – you can find your way around obstacles of any size with enough patience & perseverance.
