        This might be the year when two giant hulking ships leave the perimeter of Philadelphia… while most of the talk has been about the SS United States, the Inquirer reports that the JFK Aircraft Carrier is finally getting pulled out of the Navy Yard…. right this minute as I type this!

        I’ll miss both of these iconic sights, and it’s going to feel a bit different walking around the southeastern edge of the border after they’re both gone… but then again, the landscape is always shifting and that’s one of the lessons of the walk!
