Walk Around Philadelphia isn’t only about walking — it’s also about pausing to gather, reflect, celebrate, and connect. Throughout the year we host in-person and virtual events that bring together longtime walkers, first-timers, DIY explorers, and Walk-curious neighbors.

Spring celebration at Cherry Street Pier
Each spring we gather at Cherry Street Pier to celebrate the completion of the winter walk cycle, welcome the spring, and share stories, reflections & community – a joyful gathering for everyone connected to the Walk.
This is also a great opportunity to snag some Walk merch, hear the latest updates, or connect to the project for the first time.
Year-End Celebration & Circumnavigator Awards
Every December we come together to look back on the year, welcome new walkers, and recognize those who have completed a full loop around the city.

Every season we offer both in-person & virtual opportunities for folks who are off doing the walk on their own and folks who’ve joined our walks to connect and compare notes.
Participants who’ve joined group walks share insights and tips, and newcomers can ask questions, meet fellow walkers, and ground themselves in the Walk’s values and guidelines.

Pop-Up Events, Picnics & Printmaking Workshops
From time to time we host casual meet-ups and special gatherings at points of interest along the city’s edge — including perimeter picnics, community pop-ups, and letterpress printmaking workshops where you can make your own Walk map.
