You’ll be walking ↺ Counter-clockwise from Navy Yard toward Penn’s Landing.

About this segment

📍 Meeting point: Gatehouse Café

☕ Optional pre-walk social: You’re welcome to arrive 1 hour before, at 11:00 AM, for brunch at the Gatehouse Café.

🍻 Optional post-walk gathering: This segment may include the option to gather for snacks in Old City after the walk.

🗺️ Segment overview: This segment is estimated to cover roughly 10 miles over 5–7 hours. The terrain includes mostly sidewalks & roads, with opportunities for big roundabout detours and occasional bushwhacking.

🧭 Every walk unfolds a little differently. Your mileage, terrain, and endpoint may vary depending on the choices your group makes together along the way. You’re always welcome to join for just part of a day’s walk. See our FAQ for more information.

Transportation

🟠 Many walkers will arrive via the SEPTA Broad Street Line. Keep an eye out for fellow walkers along the way!

The Gatehouse Café is a 15 minute walk south from NRG station.

Important note about event start times & SEPTA transit

⚠️ Our walk segment start times are coordinated with SEPTA schedules. The current funding landscape and potential service cuts may impact this project. Please contact your elected representatives to advocate for public transit, and keep an eye out for updates from us; event start times may need to be adjusted in response to any SEPTA schedule changes. If a regional rail train is delayed, the start time may be as well.
